2025/3/14 放送の Countdown で ‘watch the space’ という表現が使われていた。
どういう意味か分からなかったので調べてみた。
オンライン版 ‘Collins English Dictionary’ によると以下のように書いてある。
Journalists write ’ Watch this space’ in order to indicate in an informal way that they will be giving more information about something in the future.
ジャーナリストの使うインフォーマルな表現で、「今後また詳細をお伝えします」といった意味のようだ。
